Do people still wear seersucker suits? Are you currently active in a fraternity? This was common in Greek life, but I don't see many well-respected men dressing this way anymore.

I do when its the proper time to wear them. I.E. weddings and other functions in the south when its jungle hot outside. Go to any wedding in New Orleans during May-August during the day and 75% of the men will be in some form of seer sucker or linen. I would not deem it proper attire for formal business occasions.
For Bucks order off Amazon. Or try Zappos.

Or if you are an old school Deep South criminal defense attorney.

I'd be very wary of any $77 shoe. I'd go for either Perlis or McLavy's. I think they both cary the old Walkover shoe now branded something else. Same shoe everyone wore growing up in the 70's and 80's.

I'm an Allen Edmonds guy, but I recommend you do what I did and pick up the $55 white suede bucks from Bass. I doub't you'll wear them enough to justify the cost of a nicer shoe. I have two seersucker suits I wear occasionally but just not enough. These shoes have lasted 2+ years now and are still holding up just fine. They get a long arse break during the fall/winter

All this right here.

FYI to anyone who cared:
Ralph Lauren seersucker suit: $165
Izod white bucks: $45
All at Stein Mart.
I found only 3 stores in all of Baton Rouge that had both of the above. Most were $400-$700 for the shoes and suit only to be worn a handful of times during the year.
