If you are on a sidewalk in a more urban area, a man should always walk on the side closest to the gutter when passing a woman. That goes back to the days when people would empty their chamber pots into the gutter from the window. The man takes the shrapnel.

stay on the right side, don't block the whole sidewalk if you are with someone else, there are more places to park around lsu than wampold park, pick up your dogs shite
