Works for me too as well as my son's Pit that roams the backyard behind a solid gate. He also hasn't mauled my 7 year old daughter btw. His bark even freaks me out even though he is generally a puss. I do however think I haven't had my meter read since I bought him.

On point, my actual security system is with Vivint. Good product and service. Even got cameras, which I put inside facing out through a window toward the street. You can see the light clear as day at night which I think goes a long way in keeping the bad guys away.
