That's not a great analogy in my opinion. Spaniards don't walk around speaking Casitilian from the Middle Ages. Also, Spanish singers very much retain the accent. Corazon sounds like corathon even when they sing.

Which ever one has the biggest rack.

You are not going to become fluent from meeting some Jose at the coffee shop 3 hours a week in Chicago.

For getting to conversational level, pick a hot chick, you will be more likely to stick with it. She most likely has sisters and friends if you don't click.
