Buckhead is a ghetto. Southside of Atlanta used to be ok but it's now ghetto-suburb unless you can't below Locust Grove. But if you did, you may as well move to north side of Macon. It's nicer and much cheaper.
If you must be in Atlanta near downtown, then Inman Park is great. Decatur is ok. Avoid Gwinnett. Anything near 285 outside is ghetto. Maybe you can get up to Cumming.
You don’t live anywhere near ATL.

That’s a new one. I’ve usually only ever heard moving Africans rapidly through ATL.

Newnan(home of Alan Jackson), anywhere in Cherokee County, Inman Park/Kirkwood/W.Midtown in the city.
Also Chamblee/Brookhaven are really nice. A good friend of mine lives in Chamblee and he likes it.

I see that Kasim is running again.
Say what you will about him, he's corrupt and an arrogant a-hole, but he kept crime down to historic levels.

They need to get the Peach Pass lane put on the entire Perimeter and on 400. Traffic would take a noticeable jump for the better.

That’s why there is major construction planned for the next 15 years. Elevated lanes. Semi truck lanes etc…. They are annexing property everywhere and expanding like crazy. Right now they are just focusing on bridges and a few interchanges but the new lanes are coming.

Per usual lots uninformed nonsense speeding out of the collective
I worked off and on in Atlanta for 8 years and kept an apartment on the belt line in Inman. There is some overdevelopment but some solid places around there, East Atlanta village, grant park, candler park, kirkwood, old fourth ward. Can’t go wrong and plenty of walkable options for food, drink and on and on. Atlanta is a dynamic and diverse city close to some nice outdoors options. Not to mention the dating pool is solid. Enjoy your new found options and neighborhoods especially if you are coming from BR

It's gonna be crazy but it'll be worth it once it's all done.
The Peach Pass is a lifesaver. I wouldn't be able to officiate w/o it. When I work in Mcdonough and have a game in Canton or Roswell on Friday evening, I go up the 75/575 toll lanes and it cuts 30-45mins.off of my commute. It is a must have.
I'll be in Dunwoody next Friday at Mt.Vernon Christian.

Add Smynings, Brookhaven and Grant Park in there and it's closer to 90%.

Buckhead gets grief on this board but it is the land of milk and honey. The vastness of stately neighborhoods north of ATL is crazy. I don't think there's another suburban area in the South that compares.

Sandy Springs holds its own.

Brookhaven is very nice. Much of the north suburban area is great. Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Bulloch Hall(sp?), etc.
For some reason, Atlanta has a LOT of great suburbs with charm, trees, and big yards.
