Where should i go for a day trip in the georgia/sc/nc area

i turn 25 this week and looking to get away from the augusta, ga area. i've been to savannah and atlanta plenty of times so looking for something else. have yall been to charleston or asheville? what's some stuff to check out at these places?

Helen Ga is made up like an Alpine village. Dahlonega is near there and is where gold was first discovered in the US. Nice little towns and is fun for a weekend getaway.

Go to Longcreek, SC and do a rafting trip down the Chatooga River.
