Some corporate whiz, that the hipsters LOVE to deride, is thinking how to re-purpose the hula hoop, the Frisbee, the hacky sack, slinkys...something that will grab them for a few years...
or not...man.

On TD, a hipster is someone who likes any "new" thing you don't particularly care for.

What I like is how they just love, love, love, LOVE! whatever they think they are on to that is slightly ahead of the curve, and then when everyone knows about it, they move on.
They look down their noses, over their nerd glasses, push their hair back, and say, Man, that dude has SOLD OUT! It burns me up! I saw him at X-X-X before ANYBODY else and now I am gonna get my Dad to buy me one more set of concert tix then I am through with them!

Yes, all of those things are actually cool, but what really makes hipsters hipsters is they think they invented the shite, and if you're not into it you're just a mainstream sheep. The main and most loathsome characteristic of hipsters is their smugness.
