He died in 2001. Buried in Port Vincent. He would wipe his nose with the same towel he used to wipe off his spoon.

This made me laugh. It sounds like a haiku, or something. It should be written on his tombstone.

He bought a house on a lake just outside McComb, MS and lived there for several years before he died. He even cooked at a local restaurant there a few times as a "celebrity guest". That old guy was funny as hell when we would run into him fishing.
