Well yes, but old fashioned, manhattan, vieux carre, sazerac, etc are all appropriately mixed whiskey drinks. There’s a difference between those and a jack and coke.

Those are drinks though, and good ones.
I’m talking about someone getting a good bourbon or scotch and mixing it with some sugary soda.

I mean, to confess I do keep some bottles. Really cool ones, like Alien Head or Crystal Skull. Use them as decanters. I can appreciate a well crafted bottle.
