Breakfast, dinner, supper—for some weird reason we referred to noon meal at school only as lunch. This was in north La. Now we tend to say lunch at noon, probably because of lunches at school and Yankee husband was the same. I dont think the word “lunch” ever came out of my mom’s mouth in reference to noon meal at home. At least my Yankee got one thing right and still does call them like that. Lol

Miserable times that would end in screaming matches where my mom would end up in tears. OR…
