The grant may purchase whatever. But what people don’t understand is the maintenance cost. In this case it’s $100,000 a year. It’s the same reason the city just removed the crime cameras and shot spotter system. The city either can’t or won’t maintain the items after the grant is awarded. Millions of dollars wasted.
