at what exactly?

Being greedy, envious, hateful? Killing in the name of what could be a glorified ghost story?

What's the answer? Should we be able to kill our old relatives too? Because they're in pain?

Think of an animal in the wild....if it wasnt for you sheltering it and bringing food to it, it would die in nature of starvation or from predators.

We just lost our 15 year old Golden Tuesday. I was prepared to bring into the vets office to put her to sleep. She wasn't in pain but quit eating. She passed in her sleep.

Your vet can guide you. To me what is important is that the dog isn't suffering and they have done all they can do. Best of luck.

what type food you give her?

my dog has a mass that can effect her ability to digest food through the esophagus, so after lots of trials and tribulations i have been boiling chicken and putting it through a food processor...it comes out in a very slurried texture and she is able to digest it as opposed to your conventional dog food or bite sized chicken.

i asked my vet what he would do in my shoes and he says if she is still enjoying a good quality of life, able to eat and such to just let her be and things will run their course naturally. she still loves going outside, going for rides, chasing lizards, etc so i'll do what i can to help her live out the rest of her life like she deserves.

only you can make the call though. its tough man, but i think you'll know when its time. if mine was truly suffering i think i would make the call but like i said, she still exhibits so much signs of life that im going to give her every chance to see out the rest of it.

i hope everything works out, dogs are awesome. i'll send some good vibes your way

My 6 year old lab was having problems. Dr opened her up and found cancer everywhere. Said she could tell she has been in pain. At that point we decided not to wake her back up. If the dog is in pain you have to do what is best for it, not matter how hard it is. Sorry about that man. Its horrible, like losing a family member.

I had a boxer that had cancer and actually had to put him down 3 months after diagnosis. I kept telling myself I couldn't do it even when the vet called and said it was time. I arrived at the vet and still couldn't do it till I looked at him and he was already gone just physically alive. You will know when the time is right trust yourself
