I know of multiple schools without power in my parish.

My kids' school waited till 7pm Monday to cancel for Tuesday. If I was running the school, I would have had class as normal on Tuesday, off Wednesday, and reported back today, and not penalize those kids who did not show up. Of course, you have to have your staff on board with that decision. I think there are better alternatives with deciding when school is closed, but I understand the many variables that go into making that decision. It's not an easy one.

This is Lafayette parish, by the way.
