students who mentally identify themselves with the opposite sex could choose the locker room and bathroom to use, and physical sex did not matter
The fact that this sentence is an actual thing that's taken seriously shows just how past the point of no return we are as a society.

The way you use children with mental illness to push some fricked up political agenda is disgusting.

Your claim was ironic because you are the one feigning entitlement. You aren't entitled to a rule book that fits your preferences when it comes to public schools, no matter how insane we view the rule to be. If your morals do not jive with the public schools' standard operating procedure, it is incumbent on you and no one else to find your personal resolution to this conflict.
The other poster's material was ironic because I've used no children and have not outlined any agenda, yet your side of this debate commonly offers fear-based pornographic hypotheticals that portray children as victims as an attempt to convince others to change their minds. That is, you're using children to propel your sick agenda.

Might wanna get that boy tested for the gayness while you're helping him cope with his trauma.
She is self identifying as a dude and undressing in the dude's locker room. The likelihood she was attractive is low. Moreover, this seems to be the exact reason this board is all about the Texas and North Carolina bathroom bills. I'm shocked the op isn't ranting about SJWs.

In this case there was no hypothetical. It happened. A boy was forced to change in front of a girl. Assuming equality (see that?), is it unreasonable that a girl will be forced to undress in front of a boy?
Is it also unreasonable to assume that a 15 year old might just decide he wants to see the cheerleading team in the locker room and pretend he's a girl for the day?

When something like this comes up, it's often instructive to find a local source rather than a national news organization, especially an Op Ed.

A couple of things stand out.
That seems odd.
That puts a bit of a different spin on things. I think a lot of this transgender stuff is silly at best, and lunacy at worst, but the reality of this particular situation is not quite as represented in the story linked by OP.

quote:
Boyertown Area schools Superintendent Richard Faidley said in a statement posted online Wednesday that the school only learned of the lawsuit after the plaintiff's representative had informed the media.
That seems odd.
quote:
He said further that the district "is firmly committed through our words and actions to treating every student, and member of our community with respect, dignity, and sensitivity in accordance with all applicable laws. The administration and staff, contrary to the allegations, offered the student-plaintiff reasonable and appropriate alternatives when he voiced opposition to changing in a designated male locker room being used by a transgender student. We also discussed those options with his guardians, explaining that at the time we were following the law of the land. Even though the Federal government’s position has changed since then, we are now guided by a recent Federal court ruling in a Pennsylvania case, and await additional guidance from the State of Pennsylvania."

.5% are not dictating things for the other 99.5%. Your need to fudge the numbers like this hints at an insecurity in this dialogue.
