Yes?

What does this mean? Plenty of people drive into the city for games

I am thankful I live right outside, while making a lot of money off nola.

My office is right by the superdome. 6-8 minutes in morning traffic. I could give a frick about actually living in nola. We looked hard at a house in uptown. I am very glad we passed.

We had a 900k-1M budget...we had good options in New Orleans, but I am glad we thought it through. It was my love of Uptown that kept it an option.

With all that said, I love uptown...its one of the greatest neighborhoods in this country.

We’re shopping and there’s nothing in this price range. Minimum of $1.25M for the good parts of Old Metairie (I.e not next to causeway, next door to the train track, or next to I-10). We are in a prime spot now, but old cottage.

live in Lakeview and get the same result.
I know we all hear people leaving at alarming rates however other people are buying those houses and the price continues to increase. 3 houses in the last 3 months within a 1/2 block have sold between 1.1-1.7 million.

Yeah I live in Lakeview and love it. I guess I’m supposed to flee because cars get broken into. At least in my location close to Harrison, the good vastly outweighs the bad. And I constantly see NOPD, so there’s that too.

When I was looking at lots on the Northshore six months ago, I visited the Tchefuncte office which is building a new phase to their neighborhood. The land was being cleared at the time with no infrastructure in place. I saw the map and half of the lots were sold sight unseen, which the manager was shocked. The manager told me that the failed leadership in New Orleans has people with means fleeing to his development.

I’m in the same spot. Love the neighborhood and the walkability to everything on Harrison. Hate living in Orleans parish however.

Probably because a lot of people with means want to get the hell out of New Orleans so the choices are slim. Metairie or what? The East, North Shore, or Chalmette?

Yep. First it's going to be the safe parts of Jefferson. Then you'll see Northshore prices going up too. The NO bubble will burst.
Who in their right mind would want to reside within Orleans Parish? Even the Bywater hipsters are escaping to Arabi now.

I shite you not....I just counted 10 homes that have sold in the past 3 months....within a block of my house....all in walking distance....I probably missed a few so there's more......people are moving in as fast as they are moving out/or to a different part of the city

I wil be putting my house on the market in the next 6 months...not sure where I'm going to go but seriously considering Old Metairie

LINK

C&G construction built this property. Stay the F away!

The 6321 Patton in the second link is around the corner from me. It’s a weird layout. No way they get $1.375 -

The huge new build on the corner of Patton & Calhoun sold for $1.4 i think before covid.

We disputed our property taxes and won on my wife’s rental properties and our house but had to goto BR for a day and sit in a court room for a few hours. Good luck
