For real though, stainless steel bracelets are the most versatile straps/“bands” out there. I don’t want to be concerned with getting my leather strap wet when I’m washing my hands, sweating on it if it’s hot outside, or having to take my watch off before I jump in my pool.
Leather is fine for a dress watch, but steel makes more sense for an every day watch.
ETA: steel is more comfortable than leather also, IMO.
