i don't have a huge desire to keep fricking w heavy weights on the bench but i will get 315 off my chest soon enough. I dream the day i can rep out 225 like it ain't too much.
How much do you weigh and what program are you on? 315 is a VERY attainable number for most people over 200lbs if you utilize a good program and stay away from split routines.

So true! Other than two powerlifting "gyms" I've been in when someone loads up more than 6 45s on the bar the gym essentially stops when that person is lifting.

My weight when i started back up was low 170's. Now my weight is up to 180-182ish.
My program isn't anything too super fancy. I go 5 days a week.
Back day
Chest day
Leg day
Shoulder day
Arm day bi's and tris.
I'll at least do 4-5 various exercises each muscle group with 3-4 sets of each. MOstly do a basic pyramid, start with 12 reps and go up in weight and decrease reps. Last set i'll try to do at least 4-5 reps.
open to any ideas, it'll probably be time for me to switch up my program soon.

Not impressive but at least I'm not embellishing. If you guys were as strong as you claim we'd be making room for you on the football team.

Get away from that awful split routine. If you want to bench more you need to bench more often. You should bench at least twice a week and probably cut your routine back to 3 days per week. Sprinters get faster by sprinting all the time. They also do accessory work and that is what your lat work and tricep work should be. You need to build the muscle memory to bp more poundage and that is done by spending more time under the bar.

Actually there are probably a lot of really good college receivers and probably a few NFL guys who would be happy with that at your weight. Of course those guys are probably at least 6-2 or 6-3 and run a sub 4.6 forty!
