What’s with the more Southern than thou BS?

NC, VA, TX, KY, FL are all by definition Southern states. Might not be LA, Alabama or Mississippi, but who the frick wants to be LA, Alabama or Alabama?

Texas is more like Mexico than it is the south. Bottom line is that Texas is not a southern state.

Nobody wants to be in Alabama, Louisiana, or Mississippi unless they were born there.

In some instances I don't really consider Florida a "southern state". It's mostly South Florida, but it doesn't have.. I guess the "traditional" southern culture. A lot of the influence is from Cuba, Hati, Jamica, Puerto Rico, etc.
Also, it has a lot of transplants.. Especially from the Northern part of the country, because of all the retired people who relocate there. And in many instances family members move to be closer to them and have settled there. And Miami attracts a lot of wealthy people from all over the world. Quite a few have businesses in Miami, etc.. This just just a FYI.
