What's up with the AUTOMATIC/Forced Windows Update?

Mt Windows 8 made me do an automatic/forced Windows 8 update and it literally took 2 fricking hours to do the update.

Anybody else have this problem WINDOWS users? Not MAC users

Didn't Clark Howard say that this was a scam? Microsoft hasn't sent any updates for Windows 8. I could be wrong and heard something else

Edit: It was an email dealing with that
