Beer is cheaper than most other stores. I paid 8.62 for a six pack of Warsteiner that is usually $9.99 before tax at Albertson's.

Reviving the thread. I went into Shopper Value yesterday to get a few things(first time since it opened this week). They do indeed add 10%...but it ain't cost plus. I bought a bottle of wine that cost more there than it did at Ralphs, and a few other items whose prices were the same, then they added 10% surcharge. I was not aware of this "business model" when I went in, bit there are signs everywhere that say it. I had a conversation with the toothless manager, and a tatted up checkout girl about it and they basically said too bad... I laughed and said, enjoy managing the store for the next 2 months.

I'm not normally a price checker, but I noticed they were a lot higher on an item that I purchase, and that was before they added 10% to it. It's convenient for me on my way home, otherwise I probably wouldn't go there.

Yes, they still have the deli breakfast & lunch. Breakfast was decent at Ralph's, don't see how the new place can screw that up.

There's a reason why Ralph's isn't with Associated Grocers anymore, and I don't expect them to last longer. The death rattle is imminent.

Yeah, I can't even begin to fathom why they paid for, and let that commercial air.

Only one of their stores turns any real profit.

Ralph's at Pelican Point is always busy.

Even with Neighbor Walmart opening at 44/42. The store at 44/Germany road is still busy.

Family run business that's been in Ascension parish for decades. They aren't going anywhere.

the store on germany has been there for decades but the family running it now is relatively recent. i had the misfortune of attempting to do business with them a couple years ago, it would not be surprising to me in the least if they've screwed it up now
