Calling Chalmette white trash is ridiculous. Now if you go a little further down the road, say anywhere past Meraux, you have a very, very legitimate case. But people tend to characterize all of St. Bernard as "Chalmette." Chalmette is the upper crust of St. Bernard. If St. Bernard were a Monopoly board, you'd find Boardwalk and Park Place in Chalmette.

Went on the net, the North La. winner according to trailer house, rebel flags,broke down cars, and pitt bull populations is hands down Leesville.
South La. has different criteria, Trailer house with hurricane damage, body piercings, broken down boats, and pitt bull population is Terrebonne Parish.

nah i live here... we have our share in Chalmette
now Arabi doesn't really have any. they're all either older, more refined, or from the lower 9

No doubt Chalmette has more than its share. My most recent visit to Rocky's more than confirmed that. But it doesn't belong in the "White Trash Capital" conversation when Violet is right there staring you in the face.

Once Juban Crossing is finished, this is one less fella that you'll have to worry about shopping in BR.
LSU and driving around for work will be the only reason I'll head that direction.
As for White Trash.....LP has it's share, no doubt.
