re: What's the OTs thoughts on destination weddings?

I have friends who have done both traditional weddings in one of their hometowns, and destination weddings. You're getting married for yourselves not your attendees, so do what you want. If your immediate families are the only people you really want in attendance and they are cool with it, then ciao Italia.

For my friends who wanted a smaller wedding and chose to do it as a destination, they all did a party back here for those were did not attend. The ones I know still said their cost came out cheaper doing a very small wedding abroad than a bigger affair at home.

But bottom line, do what you want, it's your wedding.
