The Bible says that God would prefer us to be cold or hot rather than luke warm. Well, we are heading more from luke warm to cold as a society at record speed.

You're correct. The use of the word heresy was baiting, and intentionally so.

I agree with your statement of 'from luke warm to cold with record speed', but I think Europe is already cold. Very cold. Colder than here.

Do you think all is lost, or something will occur to swing things back toward previous levels of faith and belief?

One thing I have noticed is that atheists seem to be the ones most determined to push their non-belief on others.

I am a Christian, but I don't push my faith on non-believers

Maybe you don't, but what do you think evangelicals do constantly?

Religions start, they grow, they peak, they shrink. Some die.

Christianity had a great run as the world’s dominant religion thanks to becoming the state religion of the Roman Empire, and therefore the state religions of the Age of Discovery states that colonized most of the world. And frankly, that run isn’t necessarily over when you consider future growth in developing nations. But I’ll be blown away if there is any kind of resurgence in a nation as developed as the US. And that’s nothing to be ashamed of.

personally, i just think everyone should keep their religious or lack of religious beliefs to themselves... at the end of the day, what you believe really doesn't mean shite to me, and I'm sure my beliefs really don't mean much to anyone else...
