Now apply that same logic to driving. We want to ensure everyones safety on the highway, so each driver has to breathalyze every so often in order to drive on the streets

Without comment on whether we should ever breathalyze every driver on the road, I could easily see automatic and mandatory breathalyzation being a policy if 400,000 people a year were dying rather than the usual 10,000.

Don't try to use logic with this crowd, they don't know what it is.

If people stayed home when they felt sick the need for testing would subside but in our culture, that isn't the case.

Again, I’m not saying that 400,000 drunk driving deaths a year would justify mandatory breathalyzing for all drivers, but if it were that many deaths in a year, I would probably practice the driving equivalent of social distancing...avoiding busy roads or cutting back on driving altogether.

That number is utter bullshite. I’m not saying that that haven’t been a lot of deaths from Covid. But the “with” Covid caveat is to promote fear.

I’m hoping my employer just lets me work from home to avoid testing. They said they aren’t paying for it.
