Hydrogen bombs will usually leave a stump 1 to 1.5 inches high....would not reccomend

I agree with this poster. If it's bushes or even very small trees, use a reciprocating saw. Put a 12-14 inch blade on it and cut roots around stump and then pry out the stump.
Edit: or you could just angle blade and cut stump off below ground with that same setup. Very easy

Yeah, I've already been called out on that and took my lumps.
I was working my way thru college the last time I picked one up and hope to never touch another.
I do know the difference in quite/quiet, there/their/they're, you're/your though.
So maybe I can thank the maddux (sic) for that.
