Also you are comparing 2 suburbs to a major city
The correct comparison is mandeville, prairieville or youngsville

I always think of Prairieville as being mostly plant baws. Nothing wrong with that, but I never thought of it as a stuck up area.

At least Lafayette has USL.

Us mandevillians know we’re pretentious. That’s why we moved to Mandeville. We’re at least honest about it.
Lafayette is eaten up with itself. And don’t get me started with Broussard or Youngsville.
There ain’t nothing wrong with prairieville.

Not many in Lafayette. Lafayette is mostly older homes excluding a few uppity neighborhoods.
You are thinking about Broussard and Youngsville.

Prairieville and Youngsville are basically the exact same people living in DSLD/DR Horton neighborhoods

How can anyone be pretentious living in a city in Louisiana?
Posted on 10/20/24 at 1:28 pm to TCO
No one living anywhere in Louisiana should be pretentious about where anyone else lives in Louisiana.

lived in Lafayette for a while, the nouveau riche, that go through sine wave stretches of being broke today, millionaire tomorrow are probably what's driving that perception, old money, established people there, and granted they're dying off, are the salt of the earth

Prairieville is a census-designated place in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is south of Baton Rouge and north of Gonzales.
Prairieville is an expanding bedroom suburb of Baton Rouge.

If it was incorporated it would be the largest city in Ascension Parish. Prairieville is in one of the fastest-growing areas in Louisiana. Prairieville's population is bigger than the parish's two largest incorporated cities, Donaldsonville (6,695) and Gonzales (12,231) combined.
