What’s an appropriate tip for home movers?

4 people who have worked 3 full days packing my home stuff into boxes and/or wrapping the furniture to protect it, and then loading it all onto trucks in my driveway. They’re not driving it anywhere but to their shipping facility 20 min from my house, and they’re not unloading it off of the trucks (it’s all in crates that a forklift takes off the truck).
How much should I give each of them on the last day?

Why tip someone for a job I'm capable of doing myself? I can deliver food, I can drive a taxi, I can and do cut my own hair. I did, however, tip my urologist. Because I am unable to pulverize my own kidney stones.

Dude, if you're not tipping movers in advance, what's the point?

300-400
Could split the difference if you prefer.

Hundred each.......tell them, "here, dinner is on me..."

These are the things where tipping wouldn't even register for me.
If I call a moving company, I assume the price I'm quoted is what it's going to cost me. If they come and do their job, I'll pay the agreed price. If they go above and beyond in some way, sure, tip them, but tipping them for their job wouldn't even cross my mind.

This... or atleast give them each 50. You may be watching them at your house but you're not watching them at the warehouse.

The answer is '0';
They quote a price
They do the job
You pay them
/end

If an extra $100 is like water to you, give it to them.
Hire a moving service, price quoted for a job...no tip.
Buy appliance from Home Depot...tip the delivery guy.

I know a guy worked for moving company,, u should tip before they touch anything.. and stay out the way. He said the worst was when the owners wanted to help they just get in the way and slow them down.. it doesn’t have to be much ask them what time they eat lunch and if they like pizza and have dominos pizza delivery show up 10 minutes before lunch break. Figure half a large pizza per mover. And buy one extra

Which is absurd in and of itself.
Is the price I was quoted not enough to keep them from breaking my shite?

Now this I can understand.

They wouldn’t break it on purpose but they will take better precautions

If they worked for three days and didn’t break anything then throw them each $100.

My last move was covered by the relocation allowance. We didn’t tip the movers, but did buy the crews lunch

I'd do 100 a day for the crew.
And don't listen to TH.
