Teenagers are terrible drivers. Almost all my nephews and nieces banged up their new cars.

Then you're looking at XLs or at best crappy condition XLTs. You're not getting a low mileage Lariat 4x4 for anywhere near $21k. And not to mention the original owner likely bought it new for around $33k. That's not depreciating like crazy.
This.
I bought a 2012 F-150 Lariat, Max tow package, 4x4 with the 6.2 L V8 last year for $28K. Only reason it was that cheap was because it had close to 70K miles on it.
I wouldn't have bought it if it bad an ecoboost or any other engine because the 6.2's are holding up extremely well in the Raptor's and Super Duty's compared to all the other gas engines.
The only thing Ford had close to $20K was extended cab XL's or non-4x4 XLT's with way higher mileage.

That limited can only get the 5.5' box. That right there scratches it for me. I can deal with a 6.5 but I still work my trucks regardless of the package so just that extra foot matters to me. I like the platinum.

I never got into a wreck as a teen. I did get speeding tickets though.
I think most teens are terrible drivers b/c the parents teaching them are terrible drivers as well.
