I've got a Norelco. I found that if I use it daily I get a good close shave. Except for my neck so I top that off with a razor. If I skip a day, I usually run have to go over my whole face with a blade. I use mine in the shower. It saves a little time and keeps me from having to clean the sink.

I have had most brands of electric razor through the years. they are a good time saver before work, but I have never found one that gives me as close a shave as a blade.
if you buy an electric, just go ahead and buy some decent shite for razor burn, because you are gonna have one hell of a case of it after your first shave. also, I would probably try it out for the first time on a day that you don't have to go into work....just sayin...

The one I currently have is the most reliable and longest lasting one I've had. I think it's called a trym 2. Not sure if that's the model or brand or what. I've had Braun, Philips, and Whal. The Whal was the next best, but the trym has been the best.

I was always told you had to use it for at least a week before your skin was conditioned to it to get the best shave.

It takes at least two weeks, maybe three when you first get started.
