Whataburger to open location in Opelousas

Next to the new Billy’s, across from the Chick Fil A that’s under construction.

Continuing the trend of Whataburger expansion announcements across Acadiana, Opelousas, Louisiana, is next on the list! A new standalone Whataburger location is coming soon to the southern lot of the new Billy’s Boudin property, which is under construction next door to Lowe’s Home Improvement retailer off I-49.
Whataburger, if you haven’t noticed, is really popping off in South Louisiana. We go from barely having a handful of locations to seeing cities like Breaux Bridge, Youngsville, and now Opelousas getting their own Whataburger locations. Whataday to be alive!

Well, it was a good run for Whataburger. But it appears it may be over with them having to beg for nickels and dimes in Opelousas

why tf would they pick Opelousas of all places? Hammond, Covington, Slidell - all of these make more sense, being right off I-10.

They've been pretty meh since they were sold. Not the Whataburger it used to be, which was good.

You realize they are owned by a company in Chicago now right? That whole "texas" thing ended a while ago
