I've recently been offered to take over family business.

Make me an offer to work for you. I will think about it.

You some kind of pussy boy? It gets cold but this isn't that. Dayton isn't Fargo or International Falls.

I did it 25 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. Great money, great people, great weather for 5 months of the year.....7 months of suck...but I own land in LA and will do the north for summer, south for winter shuffle when retirement finally arrives.

Summers in the South are worse than any winter in the North imo.

If you're running a business there is *always* something you can do. Sales, marketing, being on the local civic association, anything that drums up more business.

Yep. You can always wear warmer clothing. At some point you can't take any more off (legally) to get cooler.

For sure, May-through September are really much better, Sept-Oct its kind of nice to have an actual Fall, but I also do enjoy have summer/warm fall sometimes extend into late November. Had my doors off my jeep this past year from April 1st to the week before Thanksgiving, that would more than likely be cut to Mid May-September in OH

When heat indices range from 110-120° I'll take a cold winter every single time.

Depends on where you're moving from. If you're in a nice place like Nashville, Asheville, Savanah, then it would take a lot.

A shite hole like New Orleans or Baton Rouge? A free Greyhound ticket would probably be enough to get me to move out.
