I won’t know what to do with my life if football gets cancelled. I will no longer have any excuses to get shite faced and do hood rat things with my friends.

I’m so ready for this virus shite to be over.

Death of a relative. Football is merely a game and there are several more important things in life. In my 20’s I would have probably said football being canceled not so much nowadays as I’ve gotten wiser.

Depends on the relative. My dad's side of the family, we aren't close. They don't really give a da*n about us and outside of my dad we don't really give a da*n about them. So for them, football season would depress me more. Mom's side of the family we're close to so in that situation it would be relatives.

Just when you think MORON in this forum has reached maximum level.

Somebody comes along and tops it.

Football is game, jackass. A fricking game.

And what's wrong with some people admitting that they aren't close to distant relatives? Again take me for example. As far as I'm concerned my dad's side of the family aren't relatives, they are strangers. I don't even have their phone numbers.

I'm not going to fall apart crying or even be terribly sad if one of them dies and I'm sure they feel the same about us. I probably wouldn't even go to the funeral. Maybe send a card, that's it.

Not all families are close.

If someone has to explain to you why someone's life is more important than football game.

You probably wouldn't comprehend the explanation.

Again, I don't even really consider them family. Do you stop and cry for every single person's death in the world? By your standard if you don't then you're a horrible person.

Did you stop and cry when my grandmother died 2 years ago?

You can't stop your life and grieve for every single person on this planet. You would never live.

Someone's life means something to someone. That doesn't mean that person's life has to mean something to me. Newsflash, I'm not going to stop my football season if you die and I wouldn't expect you to stop your football season if I died.

Considering I have distant relatives dying of old age all the time and I don’t even remember them, I’m going with football.
