I will say, a lot of people spend money on stupid shite and don't save and that's a big frick up on their part and I don't feel sorry for them one bit.

That said, things in this country are too damn expensive. Inflation has far outgained wage growth at an enormous pace and it's ridiculous. There's no reason for college to cost as much as it does. I'm not for bailouts or everyone going to school, but the price of college is ridiculous for those who do want to go and have the brains and capabilities to go. If you got a pointless degree in gender studies or some stupid crap, screw off I don't feel sorry for those people either.

Also, the price of houses in decent locations or rentals is crazy as well. There's plenty of other examples like cars, etc., that I can bring up, but you get the point.

I have some friends in their early to mid 20s who have been hit hard by this. They have college degrees and most work in the field the got schooling for but haven't been at their place of employment long enough to really start earning great. They make good money, but with how expensive everything is compared to most salaries now days, it makes it hard as hell to really get ahead and see substantial savings, unless you were helped by family through school. Many people aren't that fortunate, so appreciate it and be very thankful if you were.
