Bump.
I now find myself in this position not wanting to bring my shitty front loader to the new house.
Looking at hotpoint or something with an agitator. Going low-tech here. Just want a washer that actually does the job without $1500 worth of eletronic doo-dads attempting to replace what a belt-driven agitator did in a bulletproof manner for 100 years.
THANKS MEDDLING GOVERNMENT for getting rid of 30 cent lightbulbs, $200 washers that actually cleaned your clothes and corn syrup in my gas so my new lawnmower is fricked.

Get the cheapest ones. They tend to last longer and you aren't pissed when they do break. Also probably much easier to work on yourself
