What to do with unwanted or obnoxious threads?

In various forums on TR, there come the occasional unwanted, duplicate, or abusive, obnoxious threads that can clutter up the page. We all know what that is like. Why not add a feature that would allow us to either “hide” (like FB does), unfollow or remove those unwanted items, either temporarily or permanently?

Not intended as a shot at anybody, just a thought or suggestion for making the TR experience better for everyone.

It's already available. It's just that we're hiding that feature from you.

Yes. But I can do that without a feature. I’m talking about making certain threads be gone from my screen. Totally gone.

In posting this here on OT, I intended to “float” the idea before a broader audience than help typically might enjoy.

RA seems like its for more specific issues. At least it always seemed that way to me. Kind of feels like tattling about somebody. Anyway, my proposal wouldn’t dump the cleanup on admins, but would allow each subscriber to TR. a little more ability to customize his or her individual experience with TR.

There should be a setting that automatically filters out any Oweo threads

Now, if you want to really ignore this thread, imagine having a delete or hide button at your fingertips like I’m suggesting. One tap and it’s bye bye.

Just keep scrolling and don't click on the thread

Wow! You must be a real problem solver. But as I have said, I might want certain threads gone from my screen entirely, and not want to have to continually scroll down past them, like now.

Are you compelled to click on threads even when you find them obnoxious? If you don’t want to read something the solution is easy, don’t read it.
