Bartlett has some sketchy areas.

Best to just skip the entire area. Olive Brach is OK. The area down on Getwell between Goodman and Church is pretty decent

No late night pizza at Pat's on Summer - no care.

Central BBQ or Commissary are both better than Rendzevous.

Graceland is worth seeing once and only once.

Stax museum is underrated.

Pink Palace is cool.

I-240 is an exhilarating, heart-pounding experience.

Keep your head on a swivel at night unless you’re in Germantown or Collierville.

If you only have two days I would keep it simple. Walk around Beale Street at night, lots of music and bars there. For BBQ try Central BBQ or Payne’s, both solid and very local style. Also the National Civil Rights Museum is worth a visit, it gives a lot of context about the city and it is not a long stop. Two days goes fast there.

Beale St and Graceland...

If there's a band called the Dempseys playing, go see them.

Did all this, but skipped Graceland. Also, the zoo is decent, the bass pro shop is a cool visit, theres a (now a local chain) restaurant called gus's world famous chicken thats pretty good, and depending on your ride/ people with you, there is a drive through safari maybe an hour south that's good.

Mortimer’s is my favorite restaurant in Memphis

You’re going to think I’m crazy for saying this but their fried oysters are even better than Casamento’s on Magazine in New Orleans.

You can always put on your blue suede shoes, walk ten feet off of Beale.

Then follow the ghost of Elvis on Union Avenue to the gates of Graceland and wait for the King in the Jungle room.
