They definitely don't do everything perfect every day. I talk to them on the phone usually a couple times a day just to check in and make sure they've remembered. The key though is setting the expectation and following through with the punishment if they don't do a good job. Really, all this stuff doesn't take more than 2 hrs in the morning, and then they can do whatever they want the rest of the day.
