My hometown of Hahnville was named after Governor Hahn.
A house he lived in was across the street from mine.

Abita Springs was built on land owned by Joseph S. Bossier, but he was no relation to Pierre as far as I know.

Hometown is named after the most well known city in Greece.

Current town is, uh, named after the big sky that sits above us.
