Never did I say the average golfer could do that. I've seen plenty of guys with legit distance and plenty who fib about it. From all ranges of handicaps. I've seen my buddy who is no better than me carry his 6i 220 to pin high. Not saying it's the average, but there are those who can move it out there.
Also, carry distance is a little different than total distance, which most amateurs reference.
And again, without speaking in lofts, you don't know how someone's 5i lines up compared to others. Lofts vary on the tour as well, so it'd be better to see average yards for lofts instead of clubs.

See Weave's post above. It makes alot of sense. The numbers you posted are pretty much right on the money for me whether you want to believe it or not it doesn't really matter to me. I can be long. I'm not very accurate which is why I'm currently a 13 handicap.

I hit 5 iron 200 pretty consistently.
You aren't the average, now are you?

He's pretty cynical about almost everything he comments on.
I actually reviewed the list after my last post, and I beat those distances on half the clubs about half/half. Doesn't help my cap though

It was called caddieon and it requires cell phone too which is why I haven't used it
The game golf has been updated several times. It is now able to auto detect a swing even if you forget to tag your location.

Dude, it's definitely possible. That list is an average, and as a short ball hitter, I'm not that far from that average.
And before you try and discount it, my numbers are based off of Trackman numbers from 3 times last year.

Yeah. Greens in reg and two putts mean more than torque and horsepower.
I'd trade half my strength for more greens in reg.

Thanks for the info. Gonna keep an eye out for a cheap GG.

Golf distances are like fish stories. Most people exaggerate like crazy. You know it's true, but I'm sure you won't admit it.

It doesn't track any putting stats others than total number of putts, mainly bc it doesn't know exactly where the hole is.
Drops are handled after the round when I review my round, but other people have workarounds.

Then you are now ready to hit less than driver off the tee for better shot placement

I would actually use a 3/4 swing on a 6 in that situation. Just to make sure I catch the green.

Yep, I've hit driver out to 340 and bogied a 4 off that.
It feels good to hit long, but it feels worse to not score consistently.

I Hideki'd a ball 385 yds at atchafalaya on #10 Monday.
That's torque and horses for days.

You're another person that is believable.
But you guys are all right. Most everyone that post here can duplicate tour average length. It is the OT after all.

My problem is that my driver has become more consistent than 3w and long irons. I need to find a nice forgiving hybrid to hit. Might go swing a few today at a store.

I hit 3 wood and rescue club off the tee more often than I hit a driver.
