And not trying to be a bad arse but 182 is pretty short for a 3 iron right? I hit a 4 or 5 on a 210 yard par 3 at my home course depending on the wind.

It's a lack of data points on the three iron

I don't hit it too often and I hit it well a lot fewer times than I hit it

In reality, my 3i should be about my 190-195 club

I have decent swing speed, I just don't attack the ball well at all with irons

You don't hit your 5 iron 210.

There is a strong consistency to downgrade posters.

210 isn't absurd for a 5i. Especially considering the difference in lofts between some clubs. Someone's 5i could be your 4i.

Did you miss depending on the wind? Hole always plays between 200-210 and like I said I don't hit the green very often but I'm usually pin high.

But you're right, if I chunk it I don't hit my 5 iron 210.

I'm pretty happy with it. I got mine for like 140 but they're normally 200 I think

It doesn't give you any distances on the course or anything like that. It's simply for round review after you upload your round. You can edit shots and clubs as needed.

Didn't you get another system? Or was that just GameGolf?

Never took it out of the case. It's in a drawer somewhere.

I think the trend we tend to see is that at around the 8-15 handicap, there is a greater emphasis on consistent distance rather than consistant accuracy. As your handicap moves down, those flip.

I've seen plenty of people be able to hit longer irons that distance. While I have never been there myself, I definitely lost yardage as my handicap went down.

It's all part of the process of getting better.

From golfwrx:

quote:

Average PGA Tour Carry Distances (yards)

Club Carry
Driver (Total) 289
Driver (Carry) 269
3-Wood 243
5-Wood 230
Hybrid 225
3-Iron 212
4-Iron 203
5-Iron 194
6-Iron 183
7-Iron 172
8-Iron 160
9-Iron 148
PW 136

So the averager OT can hit this on average? I get there are some guys here that have legit distance, but most everyone here isn't touching these averages.

What was it?

Arrcos requires you to have your phone near you, and cell phones are a no go at the course I'm working, so that ones out.

Do they do software updates on GameGolf or is the software the same when you buy it? Kinda waiting to see if any bugs get worked out when the second gen of these trackers come out.

It looks awesome from their website.

How does it track drops and putts to keep your score?
