On a two lane road that has all the local traffic it would take 2 hours to get back to I-10

Has Waze figured out that there is a bridge over the calcasieu river between westlake and moss bluff yet?
That bridge isn’t a secret. And when Sasol lets out about 4:30 there is no point going that way to try to save time. Everyone that works down there that lives north of town takes that way home. It’s gridlock. Between construction on I-10, the inevitable construction and wrecks on 210, and that back way, you’re just going to sit in traffic for an hour and a half. No way around it.

It takes a little over 4 hrs to get to Houston from where I am... One time coming home from Houston, just right outside of Houston there was a wreck involving 2 18 wheelers and a few other vehicles and traffic was at a stop for about two and a half hours. They had to land a helicopter then remove the 18 wheelers.. it was a mess. Get to Lake Charles and there was road work going on and got caught behind another wreck. Traffic was at a complete stop for about 30 mins then for the next hour it was stop and go. Move up a few feet, then stop for a few minutes, move up a few feet, wait another few minutes. Although it wasn't as long as the first wreck we were caught up in, it felt like it was twice as long and it's more frustrating because it seems like it doesn't matter what time you pass through there the traffic sucks
STFU nobody gives a shite.

I took the DOTD suggested detour to DeQuincy and Ragley then back to I-10. That detour took 1 hour. This was about 5pm. The I-10 had traffic, construction, and a major accident. Glad I took the detour. Heading west a week later there was very little eastbound traffic, however this was probably 1 in the afternoon.
