Selma Alabama. When I drove through I realized why it was an important pivot point in the civil rights movement.

shoaguan, guangdong, PRC. Incredibly hot and humid. shite food, shite hotels, no comfort at all. Also a nice dose of seething racial tensions between Han and Uyghur people, so no thanks.

I used to travel the country for work and my altar place to work and stay was Hartford,CT. Went to a bar where they were partying with animal masks, got a gun pulled on me during a work inspection, went to a step club and was offered drugs and then the guy accused me of being a cop. ??
The crazy part is I ended up working some of the small towns…. Avon, Torrington and others and the small towns were beautiful and full of nice people but I’ve never dealt with gangsters and hood people like I did in Hartford. This was back in 2011. The western side of the state is absolutely beautiful but the cities were disgusting and dangerous.

Parts of Istanbul scared the shite out of me as an outsider. Most of the touristy parts are awesome, but I had to go to a sketchy area on the Asian side that was really messed up, and this was during the Syrian migrant crisis too. I grew a beard and wore dark clothes when I was there. One day I couldn’t leave the hotel because some rather violent protests going on outside. Military coup was a month after I left.
I’ve been to Izmir, Turkey.
NOT a fan.

The worst part of a town I have ever worked or been in was in Birmingham.

Rock Island, Illinois…across the MS River from Davenport, IA. It’s like how prisoners must feel looking out at free folks enjoying life.

Huntington vw. Traveled and had to stop here. Drug heads walking around random parking lots. I had my gun in my hoodie while checking in, it was the only vacancy and didn’t know where we were. One time that I actually felt concerned and I’ve been in some scetch places in Cali, Chicago and other places in the country. It felt like I was going to fight zombies.
