re: What is the story/origin with fighting and "Sonic?"

There used to be a poster named Sonic (like the hedgehog) and he would always try to fight people on this site when they would talk about LSU volleyball. So finally someone takes this guy up on it and they meet up at Webb park for fisticuffs. Turns out the sonic poster was a twelve year old girl the whole time, but the the poster showed up for a fight so they fought and boy did she get the shite beat out of her. So bad I think that the guy went to jail.

Long story short, turns out that girl wasn't Sonic the poster, just some random little girl waiting for her dad. So that poster that beat her up, he went to jail for no reason.

In order to avoid future confusions similar, we've all decided to meet at fast food places for physical altercations. And for a little extra special touch, they chose sonic.
