It's Jupiter. I can see the cloud bands and jupiters moons with my 4" Celestron telescope.

I could swear the thing just moved. Theres one that isn't on the astrology map due east and another one west that I think may be on it. They're equidistant apart.

I bought astronomical binoculars 2 years ago and can see the 4 Galilean moons on any clear night. Also love looking at the Orion Nebula. The Pleides has so many stars when viewed through them that it is mesmerizing.

My favorite is to put them on the tripod and set to the SE and track satellites to due North at about 30 degrees above horizon. Amazing how fast those things are going.

Jack is the GOAT Star Gazer.

For 60-90 seconds on a Sunday, he would attempt to enrich our silly little lives by explaining what insignificant little pieces of dust we all are. Then he'd kind of laugh at us, say "Wow!" and tell us to keep looking up.

What a life he had.

Viewing Saturn is my favorite by far. You can clearly see the rings and how Saturn is tilted. It really is amazing.
