21-23 is you're early 40 when they're off the payroll.
They are never totally off the payroll..
I guess I am not in the norm these days. I was married with kid at 22. I am now 42 with oldest being 19 and youngest is 12.
My theory is this... There is never a certain time, if it happens it happens. You gotta make the most of it. If you are willing to work, all the necessities will be met.

We were both 25. Most of my friends started later, but I think they may regret it. I have been young enough to really enjoy it, and I think they like young parents. My son is a fresh at lsu, and I'm only 45.
If they succeed, they're all off the payroll before I'm 50ish.

Right there with you, married at 19, first at 21, 3rd and last at 25 and all on purpose. Didn't go the college route, I've known what I wanted to do as a career since I was 14 and went straight into business after high school. I could afford them and wanted them so we went for it. All my kids will be off to college by the time I'm 43 and I plan on doing a bunch of really cool expensive shite for the next 40 or so years after that. Only 14 years to go.
