Gotcha, not trying to be a contrarian or smart arse, but how does that differ from a religion? And how is that "relationship" different than another person's relationship with their God? I'm just not seeing the distinction.

A religion leaves you pamphlets if you disagree with them.
A cult cuts your head off if you disagree with them.

Probably. Rules are in Scripture, but rules are only rules if your goal is go to outside of them. In a relationship with God, the Christian's goal is to live within the rules, therefore they aren't really rules at all, but rather freedoms.

Is your relationship with your wife a religion? Of course not, it's a relationship.

There can only be 1 God and 1 way to get to "him" & I believe Jesus is that "way". All other "religions" are invented.....IMO

To answer your question about college football, it is both.
College Football spans from ampithay (ex. Tulane) to devout following (ex. LSU, Bama, Michigan, etc.).
