Not that hard. Obviously her dad either left her mom and got addicted to porn or they stayed together but stayed in different rooms. Then seeing those women on TV movies etc made her think she needed to seek the attention of many men. But then she talks about how she was saved. She's thankful despite all her faults her shades of grace overcome those things.

I think religion is just a coping mechanism of some sort. It certainty makes no sense but it seems to help people are messed up in some way deal with it. So good for them I guess
