i guess old age has finally arrived. i searched the pic for a clue as to the year of the car before looking at the girls. The door button was the only clue i spotted, but it was definitive. on looking at the girls, i wondered what they look like now, since they're probably my age. They all were blessed.

Yes, he push button is a dead give away as only installed on the C3 '68. A couple of other hints, are the lack of headrests. They were an option on 68's but became mandatory on 69's and later years. The wide stainless trim on the wiper door was another item. They were painted on later years with only a thin upper bead left bare.
The 68, as many know was the first year on the 3rd generation and though they may look similar, there were a page full of differences and a lot of one year only components between the 68 and 69 and the later years.
