Im just not understanding the safety issue... how does it become more safe a month from now? Parents are Parents.

Parents are angry right now, many of those same angry parents will forget about this in a month.... All it takes is one of those parents to make an issue about this for it to become a safety issue for a child.

Never had an issue with Principal other than her showing up 20 min late for a meeting with her. Which kinda reflects on how that school is run.
Never ran late before? Did you ask what happened? From my understanding the principal has like `15 kids

I never ran late for a meeting at work while doing personal stuff for my house. No. That would be unprofessional.

I have because a train broke down on the tracks
Because I've had an unexpected blowout
Because I've caught unexpected traffic

it isn't unprofessional unless it is a common occurrence... or if the reason is "I overslept" they have many legit reasons for running late

Well like I said it was because she was working on a house. Her choice. Apparently they rent some homes that flooded. She had to mention this as she showed up for the meeting looking the part.

Im just worried about the school my son is at if the things I am hearing about this pricipal is even 30% true. I moved to this armpit of a parish before my son was even born so I could raise a family in a good school system. Im constantly debating on if I should just put him in private school.

This is my issue with the situation. I would be pretty damn unruly if my child ingested a prescription medication and I wasn’t immediately informed.

The school itself is one of the highest in the state, so not sure what the issue is. The principal has obviously been part of that even if she has her issues.

Private school would be the best for any child since those teachers don't deal with the distractions of public schooling and can push kids more being that they have a smaller classroom.

Meh.... we've been hearing from the mom who obviously has stated certain things on FB that did not come up on the news cast... I don't believe everything she says....

What if the school tried to call and she didn't answer, then they called back and the same... then finally an hour later the mom answers or calls back?

I’m too tired from my own parenting to invest much more in this but... if they suspect a child ingested unauthorized medication they should contact the mother, other emergency contacts and, if all else fails, have the child closely monitored by the nurse until a parent or guardian responded. Sending the child to class and not informing the teacher to monitor him is a huge issue.

I have no idea what exactly happened, I can tell you from personal experience the numbers parents give at the start of the year work 30% of the time by the end of the year. I'm curious if the student went to class directly from the bus or if the administration sent the kid to class.
I know the mom said administration but from reading it seems like the bus driver is no longer running her route, so did she not follow protocol?

However the sheer volume that has been banned sounds a whole hell of a lot more like there is more to it. The fact that parents are mysteriously banned from easter parties due to a safety issue suddenly gives credence to that untouchable attitude that people talk of.

This all ends up sounding like a woman who overstayed her welcome, abused her authority, and harassed her teachers/staff.

Imagine what she does to the little kids. frick this bitch.

Hey mom here. Never done drugs in my life. Not from LP.

Have no plans on suing and I’ve said that since the beginning. I asked for answers to why my son didn’t receive treatment, why I wasn’t called, immediately I was lied to. It’s all on recording and also the school board has confirmed.

Guess what now still no plans on suing. Meeting with the school board tomorrow to go over protocols being put into place. Also to discuss why I was lied to and why was this principal more worried about her school looking good than my child’s life.

I posted my status on Facebook for the parents in our neighborhood who have kids who ride that bus in which drugs have been found on twice in a one month span and not a parent notified the first time. There are a handful of 4 year olds who also ride that bus. I pray your family never experiences anything like this. I just care deeply about my kids and the other kids in our district. So I won’t allow this corrupt LP good ole boy stuff go on where I am trust people with my children’s lives 5 days a week.

Children are curious by nature no matter what you teach them when the are under 7.

My son doesn’t need pills to sit nicely and learn. He went into kindergarten being able to read. He’s never been in trouble. He has been Star student 2 times and Wonderful Wildcat 2 times as well.

He’s teacher has bragged on him numerous occasions and even after the incident still does.

The pill was identified by Walker PD. The office never questioned my son or checked on him. Never notified his teacher to watch for sign nor called me.

I was also lied to and told they didn’t call me because they had to investigate my house to see if the pill my son ingested came from my house. Next phone the story changed to they didn’t know until 8:40. The was proven another lie. The school board has confirmed the lies and the cover up after going to the media and social media. Thanks for bashing a 5 year old though. Great mentality.

School board has confirmed my post to be true on recording. I’m meeting with them tomorrow to go over protocol and to get answers on why I was lied to and this cover up that took place.

I answered the very first time I was contacted. It’s a shame a concerned parents comes forward about a situatuon handled unproperly and somehow they are the bad guy. You’re probably one of the homegrown Livingston Parish people who don’t mind this type of corrupt good ole boy behavior.

I’ll continue to speak out on it.

You need to get this b with an itch principal fired. She’s part of the swamp. Trump would want you to help drain it.
