What are you asking to a link for? Every employee handbook in the US? Every nepotism law?

Or that she is a direct report? Its available on LPSB.

Well many people don't realize that possession of 10 or so adderall or vyvanse without a prescription is more criminaler than having a bag of weed.

Get the script and don't chance that shite.

Now you are making shite up.

She states plain as day that he son was "checked out and brought to his pediatrician immediately"

So you think she should have lived in isolation with her son the next few days?

As a parent, I would be more upset with my son for eating an unknown substance off the ground.

The school banned all parents from Easter parties now and the school board is citing that its for safety reasons.

Lmao. So I guess parents wont be allowed at Kindergarten graduation either.

IF you don't watch the kid take it how would you know

Bus driver saw them open the pill. She was not sure if child ingested it. Told school office of incident. They sent child to class without even having him wash his hands. Teacher in class did not know of incident as to be aware to even watch out for signs of reaction. Point is this is a 5 year old. He may be too scared to say he tasted it.

But nothing was done by the adults in the room.

On her facebook she stated on Friday that she had not brought her son to the doctor when people had asked. Many told her to do a home kit...

Here is her EXACT comment the two days AFTER it happened from her Facebook
quote:

It happened on March 15th so we still can have him tested. I’m not trying to have this become a lawsuit and I was told that would be the only reason to drug test him. I simply want answers.. why was I lied to and want to know who and why the ball was dropped in this situation. I want to be reassure this will not happen again from the principal who will not take any fault and has been incredibly unprofessional.

So she obviously lied about that or maybe just forgot

Also, in the same thread she called it a completely different pill... so I don't think she went to the physician right away. I also don't think it all went down exactly how she stated it.

She said she took her boy to the pediatrician the same day. That does not mean he was drug tested that day.

Yea sorry I don't buy all of her story, she has holes in her FB post from her edit history and the responses.
The bus driver and school apparently fricked up but I doubt it is how the mom is portraying it. She found a Payday though

Well of course there will be holes in most stories. I certainly think she took her kid to the dr after checking him out of school that day. Im not sure if they would have drug tested the child if they knew what the pill looked like and had the pill numbers.

Facts I do know in her story. The Principal lied about calling Walker PD about the incident. (Assuming she has recording of the pricipal stating this) the news story did indicate the mother had recordings.

Her son was checked out of school that day.

One thing I do know is the Pricipal did tell a lie and the part of her story about Walker police was true. So Im just more inclined to believe the mother at this point.

She had the bag the pill was in and was telling other parents on FB it was a completely different pill.... If she took the kid to the doctor that day with the pill then the doctor would have been able to explain to her what it was and she would not have continued telling people the wrong pill.

You know this for a fact or because the mother stated? Did you speak with the principal who told you this? Did you hear it from someone in the office? Very curious how you KNOW she lied when the parent is the one not keeping her story straight right now.

The parent does have the assistant superintendent on record saying he messed up which is the biggest thing I read/heard. Personally I'm curious why the bus driver didn't do her round in between schools.

I did speak to two co-workers who worked at Walker before and both said Mrs. Cox could be a bitch but it was cause she was blunt. That one of the parents in the thread was lying because she happened to be in the office the day the parent came and when she was banned from the school. However, the parent claims she was calm and Mrs. Cox was the aggressor.

From the outside it looks like the Parish did not have proper protocol for the incident, the school did not relay information quick enough, and the bus driver did not do a proper sweep of the bus. Plenty of blame to go around.

Because I know people at the Police Department.

Where are you seeing she misidentified the pill? Her thread was too long to dig that up. It was my understanding she got a picture of the pill. Anyone with a smart phone could do pill identification in 1 min. The office should have done that much at least.

I do not know of anyone she banned. However the sheer volume that has been banned sounds a whole hell of a lot more like there is more to it. The fact that parents are mysteriously banned from easter parties due to a safety issue suddenly gives credence to that untouchable attitude that people talk of.

In her thread, she called it something else then a few others started until someone corrected them all that it was Vyvanse.

Again, the school isn't going to do that because if they misidentify it that really opens them up for a lawsuit, especially if a school nurse/counselor looks at a child

from the thread on her FB they have 3 confirmed people banned over a 2 year period... not a lot really considering how often parents get upset

Not really, why would a school want parents on campus when all it takes is one upset parent to start a confrontation in the office that leads to another issue. Better to nip it in the bud because you know at least one parent is going to go just to start mess.

So no parents at any event? I guess kindergarten graduation will occur at night without parents. You cannot run a school and cut out the parents of the children you teach. You can but your school will fail.

I'm gonna guess you have no kids. Doesn't matter what you try to hammer into them, kids will do dumb shite when left to their own devices. A big reason I'm no fan of school buses. Thirty-plus kids with literally no adult supervision whatsoeve

I don’t have kids but I was one once, if that counts. I don’t remember a lot from being so little but I do recall finding an empty whiteout jar (the ones that came with the brush as the top). It was full of zebra colored pills so I threw it back on the ground. To this day I wonder if my memory was correct and what the pills were bc someone older had clearly lost their stash. I also didn’t eat them because I didn’t put shite I find on the ground in my mouth. I guess that’s a difficult concept for 1st graders

You seem really invested in this, are you friends with the mom?

As I stated earlier my son is in that class. Dont know the mother. I just know that school is an unorganized mess. Never had an issue with Principal other than her showing up 20 min late for a meeting with her. Which kinda reflects on how that school is run.
